To empower her journey.
Becoming Her Haven empowers young women transitioning out of foster care through safe housing, education and career support, essential life-skills development, mentorship, and a caring community.
A future beyond foster care
Becoming Her Haven will provide independent living and supportive housing for foster girls beginning at age 16 and young women who have already aged out. Support will continue until each participant is prepared to live safely and independently.
She is not aging out of possibility.
She is stepping into her future.Becoming Her Haven empowers young women transitioning out of foster care through safe housing, education and career support, essential life-skills development, mentorship, and a caring community.
We envision a future where no young woman leaves foster care feeling alone, unprepared, or without a safe place to call home—and every young woman has what she needs to thrive independently.
The Becoming journey
Residents will not simply receive a temporary bed. They will gain a stable home, practical preparation, trusted relationships, and continued connection after moving forward independently.
Find safety, consistency, and a community that sees her potential.
Build the education, career, financial, and everyday skills adulthood requires.
Move into independent living with savings, a clear plan, and relationships that remain.
Replacing uncertainty with stability
Replacing isolation with community
Replacing survival with opportunity
For too many young women, aging out of foster care means losing the stability and guidance every young adult deserves. Becoming Her Haven is being created to change that story.
We envision a nurturing residential community where each young woman is known, encouraged, and equipped to pursue education, build a career, manage her finances, care for her well-being, and create a life of her own.

Meet the founder
“I believe every young woman deserves a safe place to land, people who believe in her, and the practical tools to build a life of her own.”
Becoming Her Haven was created from a commitment to offer young women more than temporary housing. The vision is a genuine home and a steady community where she can heal, learn, prepare, and move toward independence at her own pace.

Program length will be based on progress and individual need—not a one-size-fits-all deadline.
Foster girls ages 16–17 through an authorized placement and former foster youth age 18 and older who need structured support on the path to independence.
Each participant will engage in education, employment, or career training; meet with her support team; and work toward the goals in her Individual Development Plan.
Participants will help care for their shared home through assigned chores, cleanliness, sanitation, respectful communication, and volunteer service within the program.
The Haven will maintain a drug-free, violence-free living environment. Admission and continued-participation decisions will use lawful, individualized safety screening and due process.
Program-development note: Placements for ages 16–17 must be authorized and supervised through the appropriate Florida child-welfare entity. Final screening, substance-use, and discharge policies will be reviewed for licensing, fair-housing, disability, and due-process compliance before enrollment begins.
